Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a 1993 run and gun video game for the Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis and SNES platforms. The game was originally developed, distributed, and produced by LucasArts as a comical tribute to both classic and horror films of the 1950s through the 1980s

The goal of the game is to collect all the neighbors on whatever map you're on while avoiding or killing the monsters. At least one neighbor must be saved from each level to progress to the next, more points are earned if all the people in a particular level are saved, but they can also be killed by the monsters. You get a multitude of different weapons ranging from squirt guns, bazookas, cutlery, plates, bubble guns, fire extinguishers, pandora's box, Popsicles, tomatoes, and several other items. You only get 3 lives with plenty hit points per life. Extra lives are rare, your health kits quickly deplete, and it is easy to take a beating if you run out of ammo or get stuck in a corner. Some of the enemies are really tough to kill, and should best be avoided if possible.

If you are a fan of horror games, or just a fan of the SNES you must play this game. I guarantee you a fun experience and a great time.

  2. This game was funny, tough, and long. Killing zombies with water guns and running from "Jason" look-a-likes in a hedgerow maze...good times.
