Master of Orion II: Battle at Antares

Master of Orion II: Battle At Antares is a turn-based 4x space empire game and is the sequel to Master of Orion. Unlike the original ,the game can be played single player or with other human players.

You start by setting up your Galaxy, including the number of stars, difficulty and age and starting technology level. Then you pick your race. Each one has benefits and penalties, or you can create your own through a very nice system of picks. You must manage planet resources to build ships and facilities, improving producion, exploration of the galaxy is done via scouts and colony ships, which can establish new planets as part of the empire. You can offer pacts and alliances or you can simply declare war with them. Just because you signed a pact doesn't mean you can't break it , the computer knows that only one person can win, and if they must they with betray you as well.

In conclusion: If you like  turn-based strategy games you'll love this. It's a great game with a good gameplay

  4. Dudeeee. This is one of my favorite games of all times, after xcom. I even bought Master of Orion 1+2 from GoG a while ago because I love those games so much I couldn't pirate them anymore.

I think I'm gonna make a run with the Silicoid right now.

  8. sweet blog dude! following. I think there will be a big of a resurgence towards old games as people get tired of the hyperrealism that has been dominating the videogame industry for the last while.

  10. Not bad, though my favorite space game genre will always be explore/trader games.
